STORM UPDATE

Hey folks,

Our storm is brewing in the U.S. south and is heading our way.
Since I've spoken to you last, the computer models have been consistantly been tracking the storm a little further west than they were yesterday.
What does that mean?

Well in a nutshell... IF THIS TRACK HOLDS...it means more snow. 20 cm's would almost be certain now... and totals of 40 cm aren't out of the question from the City of Peterborough east towards the Nations capital.

Again, as the map shows... the further east you are... the more snow you'll see.
This looks like... for some in the viewing area... it will be right up there with the December 15th (25cm) and the February 7th (30cm) storms from this winter in terms of accumulation.

The one thing I want to stress... you're going to be hearing a lot about the snow... obviously it's an important issue. However, I'm also very concerned about the winds with this storm...especially as we move into Saturday. Winds will be gusting to 70 km/h from Saturday afternoon-night making it basically... a blizzard out there.

More details... and a storm timeline... tonight @ 6 and 11.
