FREEZING RAIN TONIGHT

WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT

Beautiful day today.... however, increasing clouds this afternoon and into tonight. A system rolling east from the Praries will move warm moist air into Southern Ontario...eventually.
The warm air will rise up and over the cooler (-6 ) temperatures in place tonight. The warm air will eventually sink to the surface... however before it does... a couple hours of freezing rain is possible across the entire viewing area. This is a look at the NAM model which brings the Freezing rain in from 2am-6am before the temperatures warm up to the freezing mark.

Temperatures will eventually rise all the way to plus 4 tomorrow... with winds gusting in from the South at 40 km/h gusting to 60.

Points moving forward
-Temperatures will fall overnight Monday into Tuesday with a change over to a few flurries.
-Tuesday mainly cloudy -3.
-Wednesday, still watching our potential storm. Models still bring the system into the Great Lakes. Models have been leaning more towards snowfall... looks like the question will now be... HOW MUCH SNOW?
-The last 2 runs of GFS say it all about the uncertainty. The morning run brings in 15cm... while this afternoon's model run brings in 5 cm.
-Either way looks like overnight Tuesday and into Wednesday we will be dealing with some of the white stuff.

Enjoy the Sun!
Ryan.
